No Cars on Streets

Major city centers should not have cars in big cities because biking or walking is better and it has many health benefits. In the text, it states Pro/Con.org “...travel by bicycle instead of by car experience health benefits.” To explain in future detail doing other physical activity is good for the environment and less noisy. There are so many ways you can get to places it doesn't have to be by car. There are other issues to consider before going by car in major cities.

Major city centers should not have cars in big cities because we need more people to use public transportation. In the text, it states in Pro/Con.org,”...transportation system desperately needs more money…” The real issue is public transportation is in need of money from the government. Also in Washington, D.C.’s metro need massive safety reinforcement. That is to say, public transportation needs more people to use them. If more people use public transportation may be the government would decide to invest in public transportation. There is more to consider about banning cars in cities.

Some People disagree with the idea of not having cars in major city areas because more than 90% of people have cars. While this might be true the most deadly car crashes happen in rural areas and we still have such deadly car crashes. Nevertheless, the roads become safer for families to roam around places with no fear.

I feel like more countries should follow Singapore desicon on restricting cars. So go to your next city council meeting and bring up this weapon that is making are major cities unsafe for families.
