What the World Gains from Optimism
Optimism changes lives!
Optimism is a character trait which many people have. Some people are pessimists, this means they will find a problem with every situation. While many choose to be in the dark, optimists choose to see every challenging situation in a new light. The world gains an immense amount from optimism… From people to technologies to hope there is no sight for what optimism can bring.
Being optimistic is the key to life!
Optimism and world peace go hand in hand. We always need optimistic people to change the world. If there was no Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi, or Martin Luther King Jr. this would be a very different world right now. For example, let's take Martin Luther King Jr. he was so optimistic, and he kept fighting for African-Americans rights. If these people were not optimistic we would not be living in the world we are living in right now. All these world leaders fought for a cause, and they changed the lives of generations to come.
Our world gets so much more from optimistic behaviors!
Steve Jobs was responsible for making the first iPhone. If Steve Jobs was not optimistic and hardworking, we would not have been living with these technological advancements since iPhone. That does not mean he got it right the first time, he had failed several times. Lots of the products he invented were not first successful, but he kept on going; Thinking that one day he will change the world, and he did.
In this context, Harry S. Truman said some beautiful words, ”A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities and an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties.”
Optimism spreads like wildfire!
What were the underlying traits of these great people? ....... Why do we remember them over everyone else? …...It's not because they were just successful but WHEN they were successful. These optimistic people brought not just their intelligence with them but also a sense of hope. Gandhi, MLK, Mandela used their optimism to bring hope to millions. Without them, the world would be not just grim but hopeless. Without their hard work and hopefulness, the world would be hopeless. Without optimism, the world would be hopeless.
Optimism changes live, innovates and bring hope to others. And in a world full of, death, disease, hunger, and greed the world can gain a lot more from an optimist than a pessimist. So Close your eyes and ask yourself this one question, Who do you want to be around an optimist or a pessimist?
