 As the election comes closer, former President Barack Obama has offered his help to the citizens of America. by inviting them to text him.  This initiative has the purpose of giving voice to American citizens as well as educating voters about varied methods to get their vote counted. Alongside early voting, many government officials expect voters to mail in their ballots this year due to the Coronavirus taking this nation by storm. As the 2020 school year is up and running, many students are attending school amongst the COVID-19 global pandemic. Now, as the flu season rolls in, many ponder over what is best for their family as the "twindemic" is almost upon us. The word  Twindemic  highlights a severe threat of a flu outbreak alongside COVID-19.  The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has advised many families to get the flu vaccine to prevent further strain on healthcare workers. As a result, the CDC hopes that individuals who take preventative measures will reduce the number of people who have the flu. With information being released daily about the pandemic, many individuals are worried about the effect of the virus as the country enters the flu season.  Mr. Jonathon Arant is the 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year. Throughout his twelve years of teaching, he has left a print on everyone as he continues to inspire his students and coworkers around South.  Michelle Obama gave a compelling speech on the first day of the Democratic National Convention (DNC); on August 17, 2020, from a virtual platform at her home. At the beginning of her speech, Obama emphasized the highlights of Biden's leadership. Obama voiced her opinion of how crucial it is to have a huge turnout of voters this year. As her speech continued, her topics shifted to different ongoing issues such as the Black Lives Matter Movement and President Donald Trump's leadership over the past four years.
